This week's featured Military camping facility is the Cliffside RV Park on Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in Washington state, featuring its new cabins!
New for 2025, in addition to the 52 RV sites, 4 deluxe camping trailers, 10 campsites and 6 finished Yurts, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island's Cliffside RV Park as added new camping cabins for you to enjoy.
These rustically elegant Cabins include bunk beds, a sleeper sofa, a dinette and kitchen area, in addition to a queen bed in a separate bedroom. There is electricity, water and a full bathroom for your convenience. It is equipped with cookware and utensils for 6 guests and has Wi-Fi access. Linens are also provided. The maximum number of guests is 6 and there is a 2-night minimum stay. Pets are NOT allowed in the cabins, so fido will have to sit this one out, or stay in a pet-friendly Yurt instead.
Amenities of the RV park include restroom & shower facilities - the North and South Loops each have a restroom and shower facility. Covered activity pavilions - each of the four pavilions is open to beautiful ocean views and are furnished with picnic tables and BBQ grills. The North Loop has two pavilions near the beach, and the South Loop has one pavilion with a fireplace, as well as an older, more rustic pavilion. A large fire ring sits near the South Loop's pavilion.
There are free laundry facilities - the North and South Loops each have a dedicated laundry facility. You must bring laundry detergent though as, it is not available on-site. You also have free Wi-Fi, easy beach access, walking paths, and you are close to base amenities - including the Recreation Center, Golf Course, Parks, Dining, Paintball and much more.
If you've never been to the Cliffside RV park, I highly recommend it. While it can be a bit windy, the views are breathtaking and there is plenty to see and do in the area! Deception Pass is a must-see.
