This week’s featured Military camping facility is the Bellows Air Force Station Recreation Area in Hawaii! This campsite is located within Bellows Air Force Station on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, retirees, and Department of Defense employed civilians are welcome to stay here. Reservations are strongly encouraged; reservations can be made up to 13 months in advance.
With 107 beachside cabins, 16 air-conditioned condo units, 44 family campsites, 10 cedar camper cabins and 5 group campsites, there are various affordable beach accommodations for your every recreational need. Bellows offers many recreational programs as well - equipment rentals, paintball, painting, stargazing, golf, and relaxation programs.
Bellows Air Force Station is in the Waimanalo area of Hawaii. Waimanalo is quieter than most of Oahu; Waimanalo is generally recognized as a farming area. Waimanalo is a close drive to the beloved Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail, a great hike that takes adventurers to a high point from which they will see an incredible view of the ocean. From November to May, keep an eye out for whales while enjoying the view! Waimanalo is a 20 minute drive to Kailua and a 35 minute drive to Waikiki, so guests will have quick access to the variety of neighborhoods Oahu has to offer.
