Navy Lake Site Allatoona, GA | Featured Military Camping Facility

The Navy Lake Site Allatoona is located in Cartersville, GA, in a 52-acre park on Lake Allatoona reservoir, just 30 minutes north of Atlanta. Navy Lake Site Allatoona is the perfect destination for a fun day on the water, open to any active-duty, Reservists, retirees, DoD civilians, family members and their guests. 



Reservations are accepted 1 year in advance for active-duty and Reservists, and 6 months in advance for retirees and DoD civilians.  It features newly renovated RV sites, a sandy beach and swimming area, a boat ramp, rental pavilion, picnic tables and BBQ pits, a laundry room, convenience store, playgrounds, and free Wi-Fi. Please note, Navy Lake Site Allatoona is a cashless location and all major credit cards are accepted.


Patrons will find 3 boat docks with 94 rental slips, a marina, water sports and boat rentals (you can rent power boats and other water crafts at Dobbins ARB Outdoor Recreation, but you must gas up before coming as they no longer have gas at the dock for purchase), and the Pine Bluff Lodge (a large event rental space).


Accommodations include camping cabins (primitive), cottages (1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-bedroom), 30/50 AMP 20ft, 30ft, 40ft, 50ft partial hookups with water & electric (a dump station is located on-site), and a primitive tent village.  Needless to say, there are plenty of options.



Navy Lake Site Allatoona is near many Atlanta-area attractions, such as the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain, Centennial Olympic Park, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Historic Acworth, Red Top Mountain State Park, Kennesaw Mountain, the Atlanta Zoo, and much more.
