This week's featured Military camping facility is the Joint Base San Antonio Canyon Lake Recreation Park, located in Texas. JBSA Canyon Lake is a beautiful 250-acre lakefront property around the midpoint between Austin, TX, and San Antonio, TX.

The Canyon Lake Recreation Park offers 32 cottages, 6 cabins, 4 lofts, 15 bungalows, and 10 bunkhouses. The campground also offers both full hookup RV sites (W/15,30,50A/S) or RV electric-only spaces. Pets are allowed in this facility, fees and restrictions may apply. Pets are not permitted on the beach or swimming area. The park is open year-round.

Canyon Lake amenities include a shoppete, a snack bar, a coin-operated laundry facility, a marina with boat rentals, nature trails, and much more! Canyon Lake Recreation Park is close enough to San Antonio for city exploring and remote enough to enjoy what nature has to offer.
