This week's featured Military camping facility is the Hanscom Air Force Base FamCamp in Massachusetts. Located in a wooded section adjacent to base, Hanscom FamCamp is just 6 miles from Concord Bridge (site of “the shot heard round the world”) and other Revolutionary War historical sites. This year-round FamCamp, during the summer season, has 73 RV and 10 tent sites available, and in the winter season there are 32 full-service RV sites. A full range of support facilities are available at Hanscom Air Force Base, just a quick 3 miles away.

On site amenities include all season RV sites, 24-hr management, a dump station, lounge area, picnic areas, propane service, Wi-Fi, seasonal bathhouses and seasonal laundry, among other things. The Recreation Room (Hartigan Hall) can host a party or gathering, and offers party packages.
Reservations are taken, but no more than 30 days prior to your arrival. The FamCamp is located 15 miles west of Boston, making that an easy day trip.
