This week’s featured camping is Travis AFB FamCamp in northern California.


Travis AFB FamCamp, located in Solano County in Northern California near the cities of Fairfield, Suisun City, and Vacaville, is a popular FamCamp for military travelers. With many activities offered on-base and within a short drive, this location provides something for all guests. Popular recreation destinations like Napa (24 miles), San Francisco (52 miles) and Sacramento (38 miles) are all within a short drive.



Travis AFB FamCamp offers 44 gravel sites with W/20,30,50A/S , 24 gravel sites with W/20,30A/S , 6 overflow sites with no hook-up for $15/day, and 4 tent sites with no hook-up . Travis AFB FamCamp is open all year round.


A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per full hook-up RV site, certain restrictions apply. For more information, contact the base veterinarian clinic. Vet clinic phone #(707) 424-3010.


Travis AFB amenities include a fitness center, an aquatic center, a Rockwall located in the outdoor recreation building, and “the works”, qualified rental repair staff available to service your bikes, skis, and snowboards.
