This complete list of National Parks is here just in time to plan your Fall adventure! With cooler temperatures and fewer tourists (in many places – but not all), this time of year is a great time to hit the road. And maybe even start a new bucket list. Additionally, traveling in the off-season generally lends itself to lower lodging and RV camping rates, fewer throngs of people at major attractions, and even discounted rates for tickets and tours. Bonus!
Did you know that there are a total of 61 national parks from the northern reaches of Alaska to the waters of the Florida Keys? The parks are spread across 29 states and two U.S. territories. While there are 418 national park sites, these 61 are specifically designated as actual National Parks with the remaining falling under different National Park System categories like National Historic Sites, National Monuments, National Seashores, National Recreation Areas, and others.
