This week's featured Military camping facility is the Barksdale Air Force Base FamCamp in Louisiana. Barksdale Air Force Base FamCamp is located ten miles east of Shreveport, LA. The FamCamp offers RV sites, tent sites, and fully equipped trailers. The RV Park counts 62 spaces with 50/30/20 amp power, water, and sewer connections. There are also unlimited tent sites with no hookups and 2- or 3-bedroom recreational lodging units. The RV park is open year-round.

Pets are allowed in the FamCamp. A fee of $10 /day is added for mobile home rental, with a maximum of $50. FamCamp amenities include two bath houses, a clubhouse with a fireplace, tv, game table, and Wi-Fi. Barksdale Air Force Base offers an Exchange, a Commissary, a movie theater, and a Fitness Center.
