This week's featured Military camping facility is Cheatham Annex Cottages & RV Park in southeastern Virginia. Cheatham Annex Cottages & RV Park (CAX) is Hampton Roads’ own hidden jewel for outdoor fun and recreation.
Let the adventure begin in any of the 1-, 2-, 3- and 5-bedroom cottages, or bring your own RV or tent to full hook-up RV pads and tent sites. Fishing, hiking and biking are all available to the whole family, with boat and bike rentals available.
Cheatham Annex (CAX), located in Williamsburg, VA is situated next to the York River. There are several waterfront cottages available to rent, various size townhomes, as well as 50 RV sites which are back-in concrete slabs, equipped with free water and electric hookups. The campground also offers a dump station, bathhouse, and coin-operated laundry. There are primitive tent sites that don't have water or electric, as well as full hookup tent sites, and they close for the season on Oct 31.
Located in the historic triangle of Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown, there is plenty of history to explore. Convenient to Busch Gardens, Pottery Factory, and College of William and Mary, this getaway location is a must!
