Taking To The Trails With RJ & Liz | Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach reminds me that there are two types of beach people. First, some like the boardwalk - a hotel where they can step out and enjoy the water and nearby restaurants within walking distance from their beachfront hotel. Second, some want the rustic experience - those who prefer to rent a beach house or apartment with parking and drive for food and groceries. I would put Myrtle Beach in the “boardwalk” category.

Boardwalk, Myrtle beach, SC

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is 1.2 miles filled with hotels, restaurants, and amusements. Information on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk can be found here: https://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/things-to-do/attractions/boardwalk.

Using an Army IHG location during your travels gives you a chance to use your points for a stay. Myrtle Beach has plenty of IHG hotels to do just that! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach-Broadway At The Beach.

Address: 3100 Oleander Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC, 29577.

Phone: 843-916-4993, 888-465-4329

This hotel is three miles from the beach, and you will need to find parking. If you’re going in the off-season like us, there will be plenty of free parking.

I like outlet shopping. My favorite is the Columbia Store Outlets. You can find them at Tanger Outlets. Here are two locations:

Tanger Outlets, 4635 Factory Stores Blvd, Myrtle Beach.

Some other outlets: Members-only Outlet Store (3301 Outlet Blvd #204) and $9.99 or less outlet store (300-310, 9th Ave), N. Myrtle Beach.
