Georgetown is a vision of the old south, willow trees, colonial homes, everything prim and proper.
We stayed at Baxter’s Brewhouse Inn, overhyped for what it was. It was a beautiful old colonial home, so if that’s what you like, that may be enough to make this worthwhile for you. Not much of a brewhouse, just a few selections. The good parts, it was two blocks from the wharf and restaurants, and all the old colonial homes were decorated for the holidays.

We lucked out and were able to eat outside on the deck for a couple of sunny and warm December days. Liz walked around old historic cemeteries in the city with fascinating history, including a Jewish cemetery and many old churches.
