If you haven't heard yet, as of May 7th 2025, a Real ID is required for air travel in the US in order to avoid delays and possible missed trips. Your Real ID will have a symbol (usually a star) in the upper right corner, or the American flag on it. Some licenses will even say "enhanced driver's license", depending on the state.

If you aren't sure if your license or state issued ID is Real ID compliant, you can click on your state at this website here https://www.tsa.gov/real-id to verify. If you are not in possession of a Real ID, clicking on your home state or US territory will help you to easily make a plan with your local DMV or licensing agency in order to get you squared away.
If you plan to fly but do not have a Real ID driver's license or state issued ID card, you can still fly, but you need to be sure to have other acceptable identification on you, such as a US passport or US passport card, DoD ID card, permanent resident card, VHIC, or others. You can find more information and other acceptable identification by clicking the link below.
