This week's featured Military lodging is the High Desert Inn on Edwards Air Force Base in California. Edwards Air Force Base is located in the lower western portion of the Mojave Desert, and is only 100 hundred miles from Los Angeles.
The High Desert Inn offers queen-size and full-size beds. Accommodating TLF facilities are available to guests on a space-available basis. The Inn amenities include a business center, conference room, and laundry facilities. The lodging is pet friendly.
Base amenities include an Outdoor Recreation Center, a Hobby shop, a veterinary clinic, an Information Ticket and Travel Center (ITT), and Muroc Lake Golf Course; a 185 acres, 18-hole Championship Golf course.
Because Los Angeles is one hundred miles Southwest of Edward Air Force Base, many attractions are about two hours from the High Desert Inn: Universal Studios™, Disneyland® Park, or Griffith Observatory.
