Hale Koa Resort, HI | Featured Lodging of the Week

The Hale Koa is one of four Armed Forces Recreation Centers, which means it is a resort hotel owned by the Department of Defense to provide R&R to military members.

Each room offers two queen-sized beds, except the deluxe ocean site rooms, which offer one king-sized bed. A one-night deposit is required when booking rooms. No pets are allowed in the facility unless they are service animals.


The 22-acre resort offers a family pool, an adult-only pool, a fitness center, and a SPA with services like facials, pedicures, massages, manicures, and more. The hotel offers a wide range of dining experiences, from a full formal dinner restaurant to a café offering to-go sandwiches and pastries.


In addition, the Hale Koa Resort offers a range of entertainment that will make your vacation even more memorable, from a beautiful Garden Luau to a Hale Koa Garden Tour.
