This week’s featured lodging facility is the Point Betsie Recreation Cottage in Michigan! This unique lodging facility is open to active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, and retirees. Reservations may be made up to 120 days in advance for active duty and up to 60 days in advance for all others. Reservations outside of this window will be rejected.

The Point Betsie Recreation Cottage is a 2 bedroom cottage that can sleep up to 7 guests. The cottage is fully furnished, and includes a full kitchen with all the tools and amenities you need to be able to cook delicious meals for the duration of your stay. The Point Betsie Cottage is a smoke-free, pet-free facility. Linens are not provided.
A quarter mile east of the cottage, guests will find the Point Betsie lighthouse. The lighthouse was created in 1858, and still operates today. Guests can view the lighthouse, with semi-guided and self-guided tours available. Point Betsie is within 10 miles of hiking, shopping, skiing, and golfing. Being that the facility is on the water, visitors are always welcome to fish and comb the beach for shells and sea glass.
