This week’s featured lodging is Bronson Hall at Fort Lewis. Fort Lewis is part of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.
Fort Lewis is less than one hour drive south of Seattle, WA.
Bronson Hall is a magnificent historical building that hosts suites with a queen-size bed, private bath, living area, a mini-refrigerator, and a microwave. The facility also has standard rooms with a private bath, a mini-refrigerator, and a microwave. The Hall has a business center and free high-speed internet in every room. Pets are allowed; restrictions apply.
In addition to the standard facilities, an Exchange, a Commissary, and a fitness center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord is home to Madigan Army Medical Center. JBLM also accommodates Whispering Firs Golf Course, an 18-hole, 6’646 yards course, and a Space-A terminal.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord has plenty of entertainment, but if you want to venture out of the base, Seattle is famous for “The Space needle,” a 605 ft. tall spire with a restaurant and an observation deck. Seattle is also renowned for “Pike Place Market,” an 108 years old farmer’s market full of a craft store, specialty food, and fresh-cut flowers.
For the hikers, Bronson Hall is just under two hours from Mt. Rainier National Park visitor center or 90 min. from Mt. St. Helen National Park visitor center.
