Fort Fisher Recreation Area is thirty minutes south of Wilmington, NC, and less than five minutes from the charming beach community of Kure Beach, NC.
Fort Fisher Recreation Area offers camping sites with W/30, 50A/S, and overflow sites with 20 or 30/50A. Campground also has a primitive tent camping area. Park also offers cottages and lodges. Pets are allowed in the campground. Fees and restrictions may apply.
Park is open year-round.
Fort Fisher amenities include boat rentals, a beach, boating, fishing, a laundry facility, a pet kennel, and more!
While here, visit the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher Civil War Museum, surf & pier fishing, and enjoy the large crowd-free beaches! There is also the Beach House Bar & Grill, a recreational hall, an outdoor swimming pool, and a variety of rental equipment available to patrons!
