This week’s featured military camping location is the Fort Bliss RV Park & Family Campground at Fort Bliss in Texas! Fort Bliss is located on the western tip of Texas, bordering New Mexico and Mexico, just outside El Paso. The Fort Bliss RV Park is open year-round and has an after-hours night host for late arrivals.
The Fort Bliss RV Park & Family Campground offers 133 pull-through spaces full hookup with electricity, water, and sewer. You’ll find a wide range of amenities provided here, too! There’s a family room (free Wi-Fi & kitchen extras), playground, dump station, laundry facilities, community bath house, private bathrooms, outdoor pavilions with built-in grills, and workout equipment. Rates at the RV Park vary depending on your status. Active duty military can now sign in their immediate family members if they wish to utilize the park on a space-available basis!
Fort Bliss offers many activities on base, such as the Underwood Golf Complex, the Soto Physical Fitness Center, the Replica Indoor Pool, and the Desert Strike Lanes Bowling Center. You can also venture out into town and check out other local insights such as the Wyler Aerial Tramway, Hueco Tanks State Historic Site, the El Paso Museum of Art, the El Paso Zoo, the El Paso Holocaust Museum, the Franklin Mountains State Park or Magoffin Home State Historic Site. You can also visit old Juarez and the Tiqua Indian Reservation and check out the Scenic Drive that views El Paso and old Mexico.
