Easter is coming up on March 31st, 2024. Join the thousands of people who gathered on Easter Sunday in front of the Lincoln Memorial for the traditional Easter Sunrise Service.
The Sunrise Service will start at 06:30 am and last about one hour.
If you plan on experiencing the March 31st Service, remember that, unfortunately, the metro does not open until 7:00 am, so you must prepare for another mode of transportation.
Parking can also be very tricky around the Memorial, so remember to plan ahead to find adequate parking.
To accommodate everybody, you will have three options to sit:
Some chairs will be placed at the Lincoln Memorial
You can sit on the step of the Lincoln Memorial
If you bring a blanket or a folding chair, the surrounding lawn is a great option
