The U.S. Army Women’s Foundation is a major proponent of educational excellence and the national network for today’s Army women. They stand as a dynamic advocate for telling the story of Army women, past and present.
The U.S. Army Women’s Foundation is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization originally established in 1969. The mission of the Army Women’s Foundation is to promote public interest in and support for the Army and the women who serve in the Army. Through programs, research, symposiums, and scholarships, the Foundation recognizes and honors the service of Army women and supports the U.S. Army Women’s Museum located at Fort Lee, Virginia.
The U.S. Army Women’s Museum is a showplace for the history of women in the Army from the Revolutionary War to today’s campaigns against violent extremism. The Museum preserves and captures this history for future generations.
Army Women’s Foundation Programs
Legacy Scholarship program offers financial support toward undergraduate degrees to Army women and their lineal descendants. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, community service, and need.
Staffs a booth each year in the Association of United States Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, DC.
Supports the U.S. Army Women’s Museum at Fort Lee, Virginia — the only Museum in the world dedicated to Army women.
Conducts annual symposia during March, Women’s History Month, to maintain a dialogue on issues affecting today’s Army women.
Publishes a newsletter and maintains a web presence to connect current and former Army women.
