This week’s featured camping is Peregrine Pines FamCamp in Colorado Springs, Colorado Mountain adventurers – this one is for you! Peregrine Pines FamCamp at the U.S. Air Force Academy, CO, is ideal for those who prefer cooler temperatures and ever-changing weather conditions amidst the beautiful Colorado Rockies scenery. With an elevation of 7,000 feet, the camp is nestled in a peaceful, wooded area with views of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
They offer over 105 gravel sites with W,30/50A/S, and ten tent sites with no hook-up. The Peregrine Pines FamCamp is open year-round, depending on weather conditions, with limited onsite support services. Leashed pets are allowed.
Although the FamCamp office is closed for low season, propane service is available on select days during select hours. A full range of support facilities is available on the base. Please note that during the low season, reservations are not accepted.
U.S. Air Force Academy is a 15-minute drive from “The Garden Of The Gods Park” and a 20-minute drive to Pike National Forrest. Colorado Springs offers many more adventures, be sure to check out Peregrine Pines FamCamp, located at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains.
