Camp Carlson Army Recreational Area is ten minutes Northwest of Fort Knox, KY. The Recreation Area is on 65 acres of natural beauty, with a 25-acre lake filled with a wide array of fish. Pavilions and playground areas are also available.
The campground offers 53 pull-through sites with W/30,50A/S. 9 back-in sites with W/30,50/A/S, unlimited tent sites with no hook-ups, and 10 cabins. 2 pets are allowed per campsite. Some restrictions apply. The facility offers two dog runs.
The campground provides a dump station for $2. Showers and laundry facilities are also on-site. The campground is open year-round. A full range of support facilities is available at Fort Knox Army post.
