This week’s featured camping & RV getaway is the Eagle Hammock RV Park at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in Georgia! This 220-acre RV Campground is so gorgeous that it won the Campers Choice Award for the Best Military Campground in the Eastern United States. Active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, retirees, Department of Defense employed civilians, 100% disabled veterans, and department sponsored guests. Active duty and reservists may make reservations up to a year in advance, all others may make reservations up to 6 months in advance.
The Eagle Hammock RV Park offers 60 hardstand camper and trailer spaces featuring E(110/220V/15/30/50S)/S/W hookups, CATV, Wi-Fi, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. Campers and trailers must be 40′ in length or smaller. Rates are $23-$26 daily. There is no tent camping permitted at this camping facility. The Eagle Hammock RV Park does offer 2 furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabins. This RV park is planning on growing, so keep an eye on Eagle Hammock RV park to see when they announce new campgrounds.

Because this campground is right on a lake, guests can enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and boating. Seasonal hunting is also available. Feel free to rent equipment from the base, but make sure you have a Georgia state fishing and hunting licenses as well as a base license. Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base offers access to a commissary, an exchange, playgrounds and a pool. Pets are allowed as long as they’re under owner control for the duration of their stay, and there is a 2 pet maximum.
