This small oasis is on the edge of the Great Salt Lake Desert, stretching over 4000 square miles between three different mountain ranges. Only small, rare kinds of plants will grow in a place with a sparse 8 inches of rain all year. When night falls, there are no city lights to hamper the naked-eye visibility of all the stars! Check with Salt Lake City local news to join with Star Parties.
