Commissary Privilege Extended To New Patrons

A few years ago, the Department of Defense extended Commissary, Exchange, Morale, and Recreation program access to more benefactors. Commissary privileges are now offered to disabled veterans and their caregivers as well.

The Department of Defense is proud to expand Commissary, Exchange and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program eligibility to:

  • Purple Heart recipients

  • Former prisoners of war

  • All veterans with service-connected disabilities

  • Individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible veterans enrolled under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers." ~ commissaries.com
