This week’s featured camping and RV getaway is the Barbers Point Recreation Area in beautiful Hawaii! This recreation facility welcomes active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, retirees, and Department of Defense employed civilians. This lodging facility is located 13 miles from Pearl Harbor and 29 miles from Honolulu, in a quieter but still lively area of Oahu.
Barbers Point Recreation Area offers 25 cabins, including 18 two-bedroom units, 2 one-bedroom ADA compliant units, 2 deluxe cedar cottages, 22 deluxe three-bedroom cottages, and 1 three-bedroom unit. Rates start at $105 daily and go up to $180 daily. Cottages are fully furnished and include a kitchen for a comfortable stay.

Barbers Point Recreation Area is located in the Kapolei area of Oahu. This is a perfect area for visitors; it’s near Honolulu without the rush of the city, right on the ocean, and close to some of the best shopping on the island. Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii, a large waterpark, is located just over 3 miles from Barbers Point Recreation Area, and is a great activity for those traveling with kids.
