Looking at these photos, you might think that this is a

three-or four-star luxury hotel!

In actuality, it is the new Norfolk Navy Lodge, the largest in the world with 292 rooms.

Norfolk is the home of the world's largest Navy Lodge, which first opened in 1971 with 90 guest rooms. This same lodge has now expanded to a whopping 292 rooms. Almost 41-years later, they are still going strong!

The Navy Lodge Program, itself, is self-sufficient. This means it uses no taxpayer money for it’s facilities. An even bigger benefit, Navy Lodge guests save an average of 45 percent as compared to a civilian hotel. No sales tax to other lodging taxes are added to your Navy Lodge bill.

The daily rates at the new Navy Lodge at Norfolk Naval Station are: Queen room with bath, microwave and small refrigerator: $68; two queen beds with bath and kitchen: $75; Family Suite: $95; call the Norfolk Navy Lodge direct 757-489-2656 and they will give you details about renting the suites. Every Navy Lodge features housekeeping service, vending machines, DVD rental service and guest laundry facilities as well as handicapped accessible and non-smoking rooms. Free local calls, free in-room coffee and newspapers as well as convenient parking are also available.

The over $30 million renovation includes family suites, extended stay guest rooms as well as business class guest rooms, fitness center, meeting rooms, social networking

area, a business center and a NEX gift shop. Each room features 32-inch flat screen televisions with satellite TV, DVD player, direct dial telephones, jack packs, which allow all forms of personal electronics to hook directly to the television, free Internet and a kitchenette.
