PENSACOLA, Fla. – Home of stunning sunsets, white beaches and the Navy’s premiere Flight Demonstration Squadron, Pensacola, Fla., also features two unique, family-oriented campgrounds, managed by Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).

This is a report for RVers who have or hope to take the big trip on the Alaska Highway. It is more about tips and suggestions, than a day by day journal. We did the usual things before hand, talking to everyone we could find who had made the trip, buying the latest Milepost and other relevant travel guides, making lists and checking everything twice.

NAS PENSACOLA, FL - Oak Grove RV Park aboard NAS Pensacola is back and fully operational! After 17 months, the beautiful and popular facility is finally at 100%. Hurricane Ivan nearly leveled the site with an estimated 20-foot storm surge on that fateful September night in 2004.
